The Ministry of Youth and Sports wishes the Senior National Football team the Black Stars the very best and luck in their participation in the 31st edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2017) tournament in Gabon.

It is the sincere belief of the Ministry that as a soccer giant on the continent and having established itself as a strong force to reckon with in the game, the Black Stars will live up to the expectations of H.E the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and all Ghanaians by breaking the 35 year wait to bring the Cup home.

This feat would not only cement the Stars’ pedigree in African football but most significantly recapture the solid support of football loving Ghanaians in and outside the country.
