Players of the National Football Team, the Black Stars today paid a courtesy call on H.E. President John Dramani Mahama at the Castle, Osu.

They were led by the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and other Executive Members of the GFA, as well as Officials from the National Sports Authority (NSA) led by its Ms Alice Attipoe

A high powered delegation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, led by the Minister, Hon Clement Kofi Humado, accompanied by the Deputy Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah and the Chief Director, Alhaji Yakubu Abdulai were also in attendance, as well as the United Nations Resident Co-ordinator; Representatives from the UNAIDS and the Ghana AIDS Commission.

H.E. Mahama together with the Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan signed the Global Pledge.

The Black Stars are scheduled to participate in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2013 in South Africa from the 19th of January, 2013 to the 10th of February, 2013.
