Vice President Paa Kwesi B. Amissah Arthur and His Royal Highness Prince Edward EL WESSEX today awarded 96 young people who have successfully undergone the Head of State(HOSA) award programme at the Flagstaff house in Accra in a colourful ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by some Ministers of States, Members of Parliament, Businessmen, Diplomats and other Award officials from member countries.
Vice president in his speech stated that it takes talents, ability and skills through voluntary and physical service to receive the award. He urged the award winners to improve on their perseverance, discovery and teamwork for the development of mother Ghana.
Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, the Youth and Sports Minister said the awards scheme is transforming and an agent of change in various communities. He pledged his ministry’s support as well as collaboration with other countries to sustain it.
His Royal Highness Prince Edward EL WESSEX thanked the Government and Good People of Ghana for encouraging the award. He emphasized that parents, philanthropists, corporate organizations and individuals will need to come together to build a very strong youthful future. Since the youth forms the backbone of every country around the world, there is the l need to give more attention towards the development of their people. The Prince mentioned that the award scheme will be celebrating its Golden Jubilee next year and will be preparing itself for the conference in 2018.
