The Ministry of Youth and Sports expresses its profound regret and deep shock at the sudden passing of Mr. Sam Arday, a celebrated former national team coach and technical Director of West African Football Academy (WAFA) on Sunday.

Having won Ghana’s only and Africa’s first Olympic medal in football with the Black Meteors, the demise of the ‘multi system Man’ has come as an unfortunate loss considering the fact that the nation recently lost two other football legends (Fred Osam Duodu and E.K.

Afranie) who are yet to be interred.
The Ministry therefore extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the comfort of God in this difficult time.
