The Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the National Sports Authority has organised the 19th edition of the May 9 disaster wreath laying ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Sector Minister Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah, the Deputy Minister Hon. Perry Curtis Okudzeto reiterated Government’s commitment to ensure the event which occurred 19 years ago does not reoccurr.

Present at the event were representatives from the Ghana Football Association, Accra Hearts of Oak, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the Trustee and some of the bereaved families.
