SAMUEL OSEI KUFFUOR GETS GOVERNMENT BACKING TO BECOME BLACK STARS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN

The attention of the Ministry of Youth and Sports has been drawn to some publications on social media suggesting that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has written to inform the country’s football governing body, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to settle on Samuel Osei Kufuor as the new Black Stars Management Committee Chairman.

The Ministry wishes to debunk the statement and entreat Ghanaians to disregard it as the statement is entirely untrue.

The Ministry wishes to state that, the selection of Management Committee Members to the national teams is solely left in the hands of the GFA and the Ministry does not interfere in such processes.

The Ministry has confidence in the capacity and the ability of the GFA to manage their own affairs and the Ministry would like to take the opportunity to advise the media to always cross check before putting out such publications which sometimes creates disaffection for the government.
