The Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif (MP) yesterday joined the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for its 29th Ordinary Congress. He called for a paradigm shift in Ghanaian football, highlighting the need to change mindset, management approaches, and player development strategies.

It is time for us to revolutionize the way we think about football and bring about positive transformation in our beloved sport. He firmly believe that with this shift, we can develop our football to a level where our national teams perform exceptionally well, bringing joy and pride to our nation.

The Minister also stressed the importance of transparency and accountability within the Ghana Football Association. Ghana football needs an open and accountable approach to win back the trust and confidence of the Ghanaian people.He emphasized on the need for players and the technical team member to exhibit absolute patriotism and nationalism when given the opportunity to represent Ghana.

Let us embrace a new era in Ghanaian football and work towards building a sustainable and thriving football ecosystem. The Minister is confident that by embracing change and fostering transparency, we will regain our position as a football powerhouse in Africa.
