The Minister for Youth & Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif received the Management, Technical team and players of Dreams Football Club at the Ministry after the team annexed the 2022/23 F.A cup.

The Minister welcomed the team and congratulated them for winning the 2022/23 F.A cup and pledged the Ministry’s support for the team especially in their quest to participate in the 2023 Confederations cup.
He noted that, the Ministry will continue to support football development adding that his outfit will facilitate all protocols that the team will need to represent Ghana in the continental competition as courtesies of that nature has been extended to other teams in the past.
He charged them to improve on their performance and bring glory to the motherland as they get ready to embark on the continental competition to ensure that government is well motivated to continue supporting them in subsequent competitions.

According to the Minister, the playing body must take advantage of the huge investment the club is making to enhance their careers tremendously.

On his part, the General Manager of Dreams Football Club, Ameenu Shardow, indicated that the team after qualifying to participate in CAF inter club competition, will begin their journey by playing in the preliminary stages of the competition against Guinea next week.

He assured the Minister that the team will make the entire nation proud by making a qualification through the group stages of the competition to raise the image of Ghana high on the continent.

The team presented the F.A cup trophy to the Minister and requested him to facilitate the honour of presenting the trophy to H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
