The Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Ussif signed a ground-breaking memorandum of understanding on Wednesday 1st November, 2023 with the National Service scheme with the purpose of deploying service personnel to key sports organizations to advance Ghana’s sports sector.

At a short ceremony, the Minister underscored the need to tap into the professional and talent of the service personnel who will be dedicated to contribute their skills and expertise in areas such as marketing, physiotherapy, psychology, finances, social media, content creation among others.

Present at the ceremony to witness the signing were the Director of finance and administration of the Ministry, Mr. Eric Mensah-Bonsu, the legal officer for the Ministry, Mrs. Juliana Ado-yobo, the Executive Chairman of the LOC-13th African Games, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu – Asare, the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah, the President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee, Mr. Samson Deen, the President of GHALCA. Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo.

Others were the Chief Accountant of the National Sports College, Mr. Joseph Appiah, the administrative manager of GHALCA, S. Oduro Nyarko, and other officials.
