PRESS RELEASE

• The Ministry of Youth and Sports wishes to congratulate the Senior National Female Football team, the Black Queens for their resilience and perseverance in the qualifiers for the 2024 CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations Tournament which will be staged in Morocco.

• The Queens clashed with their Namibian counterparts in the last round of qualifiers and qualified on a 3:2 aggregate after having won all their matches in the previous round and making a remarkable qualification after the team lost out on the last edition of the Tournament.

• The team made an impressive showing in the qualifiers after beating Rwanda on a 12:0 aggregate, scoring 15 goals and conceding 2 goals.

• We wish the team the very best of luck in the journey ahead and believe they will make the whole nation proud at the CAF Women’s African Cup of Nations Tournament next year.
