In a grand ceremony marked by celebration and anticipation, authorities of the Gold fields Ghana Limited through the Gold fields foundation officially handed over the keys of the refurbished Tarkwa and Abosso Stadium in the Western Region to the government of Ghana on Friday 16th August, 2024 signaling a new era for sports and community events in Tarkwa and its environs.

The stadium, which boasts of a seating capacity of a little over 8,000 spectators, represents a significant investment in the region’s infrastructure and aims to elevate the town’s profile as a hub for major sporting events and public gatherings.
