The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Vincent Oppong Asamoah, has commended the Government and people of Congo Brazzaville for the great effort they were making towards the hosting of the All Africa Games. He said Team Ghana would surely represent and that all was on course for their participation.

Honourable Vincent Oppong Asamoah made these comments when he received the Head of Liaison Office of Congo Brazzaville in Ghana, Monsieur Jean Pierre Diassouka, at his office in Accra.

The Head of Liaison called on the Dep. Minister for confirmation on the participation of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars in a football match with their Congolese counterpart   at the opening ceremony of the new sixty thousand capacity stadium for the All Africa Games.

The Hon. Dep.Minister hinted that a popular Ghanaian artiste was being considered for a musical performance at the opening ceremony however, a decision has not yet been taken on it.

Jean Diassouka informed the Dep. Minister that the opening ceremony for the All Africa Games would be held on 2nd September, 2015 and that the ceremonial match has been well advertised in advance and that the Congolese were anxious to see the match.

Hon. Vincent Asamoah thanked the Congolese envoy for the visit and assured him that he would convey the message to his Minister who was on travel assignment at the time of the visit.
