Born to Mr. Kofi Kissi and Madam Beatrice Oforiwaa of Obo Kwahu, Mr. Harrison K. Sasu started school at Koranteng Local Authority Primary and middle school, near Kwahu Praso in the Kwahu South Municipality.

He attended Mpraso secondary schoool for his GCE Ordinary level and had GCE Advance level at the Accra Workers College.

He later enrolled at the University of Ghana Legon for his Bachelor’s degree in Geography with Political Science.

Mr. Sasu holds Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Public Administration from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Besides, he holds Certificates in the following:

Budgeting and financial management from GIMPA

Defense Management from Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College

Financial Management in Public Sector from Advantage Training, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Training in Public Procurement Act (Act 633) at GIMPA

Seminar for media officials and managers of Ghana, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, People’s Republic of China, Beijing.

Currently, he is the Director, Finance and Administrator at the Ministry of Youth And Sports. He also worked in various ministries since he entered the Civil Service in November, 1994.

His Duties include:

Ensure the efficient and effective utilization of the Ministry’s finances in the achievement of its goals.

To safeguard the interest of the ministry in all financial transactions.

Ensure the availability of (services and facilities, logistics) necessary for performance of the administrative and other functions of the Ministry.

Coordinate the preparation of the Ministry’s annual budget estimates in collaboration with the other directors for the consideration of the chief director and subsequent discussion with the Hon. Minister.

Supervise the implementation of policy recommendations made by management on finances of the Ministry.
