QUALIFICATION

Mr. Mahami attended the University of Ghana from 1999-2003 and pursued Bachelor Degree in Social Science (Political Science and Philosophy).

He proceeded to the Peking University, Beijing, China from 2015-2016 for a Master’s Degree Programme in Public Policy

He also has post graduate Certificate in Public Administration (CPA) at GIMPA in 2008 and completed a Senior Management Development Course at GIMPA.

EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Mahami Joined the Civil Service in May 1996 as a messenger at the Office of the Head of Civil Service, upgraded to the Executive Class as an Executive Officer in 1997 and converted to the Administrative Class as an Assistant Director IIB in May 2003. He was responsible for office management.

Mr. Mahami was posted to the Ministry of Information in August, 2004 as an Assistant Director IIB, promoted to Assistant Director IIA in 2006, promoted to Assistant Director I in 2009 and promoted to Deputy Director in February 2011.

As a Deputy Director, he was responsible for managing the Transport and Estate Units, Drafting of letters and Reports, Review of Monitory reports, Research, Planning and Budgeting.

He was posted to the OHCS in April 2014 and was in charge of General Administration and Human Resource Management.

His Current post at the Ministry of Youth and Sports came in July 2017 where he handled the Human Resource Management function. Mr. Issah was promoted to Director and currently responsible for the functions of the Policy, Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate.
