On 7th November, 2023 the Management of Women’s football development at the Ghana Football Association called on the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon Mustapha Ussif in his office to discuss ways they can collaborate and help with the development of women football especially among school girls in the country.

The Minister noted that the government has demonstrated commitment to ensuring the development of women’s football in Ghana.

According to him, when the Ampem Darkoa Ladies team visited the Jubilee House to meet the president, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the president directed the sports Minister and the football governing body to ensure that the needed support is given to Women football.

The official mascot “Asantewaa the fearless” which symbolizes inclusiveness and product diversity reflects the Strategy ‘s committment to thriving in diverse women’s football community.
Ama Brobey Williams further called on investors and corporate Ghana to support Women’s Football in the country.
